COLOR

I was telling my grandchildren about my friends' new giant screen plasma Color TV. They couldn't understand why I kept calling it a "color" TV. What other kind of TV is there? I felt foolish when I realized that color TV has been common for over 50 years!

I am so thankful for color and for the changing colors of the different seasons. Right now, I still have honeysuckle, morning glories and crepe myrtles in view, while some of the trees are beginning to show touches of red and gold. I love this time of year!

Goodness, these are from your yard...both header and picture? It must be gorgeous, how beautiful! Yes, I remember the many years there was only black & white!

I love this time of year, too. When I walk the dog, I am seeing subtle changes in the landscape and the cooler temps are a bonus!

I remember as a kid, seeing color tv for the first time!

that bush is an amazing color. wow! and I had not thought about it but there are many who never had black and white... I did not get color TV until 1984 when I married bob here in Florida. it was out there but I had no money

Unfortunately in Texas we don't get much in the way of a colorful fall. However, the spring wildflowers (bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes, black-eyed Susans, Mexican hats, etc.) make up for a drab fall.

Ha ha! I wonder how many of us have done the same thing regarding "color" TV! Our grandkids live in a totally different world from when we were kids. Some good, some not so good. Anyway...I love the colors of God's beautiful world...all seasons have a color all their own...so much beauty to behold if we just open our eyes. Thank you for this reminder. Have a blessed day.

So funny to mention that. We had black and white tv until I was out of high school. My parents got a color tv in 1967! The colors here are still those of Summer and the grass is still green.
