Wheelbarrow Ride

On Fall days long ago, Daddy would work hard in the yard all Saturday morning. We kids would pick up twigs and rake leaves and put them in a wheelbarrow and take them to the brush heap at the back of the lot. Then we would beg him to put us in the wheelbarrow and push us back up the hill. Tired and sweaty as he was, I remember him chuckling as he would run up the hill with one of his children bouncing in the wheelbarrow.

The Lord's joy is in those who reverence Him.
those who expect Him to be loving and kind.
Psalm 147:11

I did not ride in a wheel barrow but I did load it and put the load in a barrel and then got to poke the fire while we burned what we put in there, thanks for stirring my old memory with your old memory

Awesome memories, I loved running and jumping in the leaves, rolling down a huge hill at the dead end of the street :-)

Those are wonderful memories. Your daddy was sweet to do that! And strong! I love playing in the fall leaves...still, if we had some! LOL.

Oh, what a great dad you had to carry you up the hill in the wheelbarrow even after working all day in the yard. And he laughed and had fun while doing so. Loved the story, Karen.

Have a peaceful Sunday.
