Shine

The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn
that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
Proverbs 4:18

There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home

Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world

I pray my 'candle' can always be light rather than darkness in this old world.

Love that song. I first heard it sung by Kathy Troccoli...and I even had the courage to sing it for church one time, many moons ago. Still lighting my candle for the Lord.

What beautiful words. May we all shine the candle of the light of Jesus in this darkened world, as we allow that light to shine in our lives.
