Reading this flipped me back in time to my dad's little Baptist Church, actually there were 3 Churches, and we sang this song several times a month,.
I love this hymn. I can almost "hear" Charles W. standing beside me singing base. Happy New Year's EVe.

It rained all the time where I grew up in Northern California, and I think that's why we sang this song so much in church. The rain reminded us of something greater, the blessings of God. Thank you for the reminder; I loved the song coupled with the verse that inspired it.
