It Came Upon the Midnight Clear

For lo, the days are hastening on,
By prophet bards foretold,
When with the ever circling years
Comes round the age of gold;
When peace shall over all the earth
Its ancient splendors fling,
And the whole world give back the song
Which now the angels sing.

Jesus is our Peace.

I love the poetry in this post. It sounds like a song. we prayed for your Son and his team's gospel of John outreach at our Wed meeting. I am so glad they were able to pass out 200 on the streets of NY city. Now the booklets are ready to do their work as the eye gates are opened may the hearts also be opened.

Merry Christmas, Karen. I remember the pictures like this one from my youth, we had the one of the angel with the children crossing the bridge, same era as this one. as long as people live, there will be no peace on earth, but we can have Jesus peace in our hearts

Another of my favorite Christmas carols. The older we get, the more we appreciate these words and the hope they bring to us. So thankful for the angels' song to us that day...and in so many ways thereafter.
