This is my childhood home in Georgia, Mother and Daddy built it when I was a baby and I lived there until I married. I still dream about good times I had in that house with little sister Mildred and big brother Larry.
Larry and me, at home on Christmas Eve, 1950.
At Christmas we read about there being no room at the inn for baby Jesus.. What an honor that Jesus' desire is to make our hearts His home.

What a precious Christmas memory. hugs, lj
How precious. I love the picture.
Karen, how special to be born around Christmas time. And a very treasured picture of you and your brother. Your childhood home is so charming, and it's nice that you have many good memories there. I am loving the Purple on your Header design, as Purple is my favorite color. It is beautiful to me.

I'm not sure how I found your blog a few days ago. I quickly bookmarked it and now look forward to reading your wonderful posts each day. Thank you for the blessing you are bringing each day.
What a precious picture of you and your brother! Love your childhood home. I lived in three different houses as I grew up. I remember each of them.....the last one we bought from my dad and lived there for 33 years......until we moved to this house over 2 years ago!
Thanks for sharing, Karen. God bless your day!
Thank you for all the kind comments. I have had a virus this past week and have not been out, so I am posting old memories!
So, I had it figured right...you and I were apparently born in the same year, 1950...you in December? and I in September! What a wonderful Christmas gift for your brother! (and parents!) What a lovely home in GA. I miss my family home where I grew up from age 7 until I left home to get married, and my parents lived there until they died. Now the home is in the hands of strangers...but they continue to keep it nice. It just seems so strange. I prefer to keep my memories inside, and have not been back to see the house. Mom and Dad aren't there...I will see them again someday in their heavenly home...where we will all be for eternity!!! Thank you for this post. It touched a chord in my heart.
That is a great story.
Sweet photos and sweet story!
