This fence and the lovely trees surround a retirement community
on Harry Truman Road in Grandview, Missouri.
The Truman Family Farmhouse still stands on the property near by.
From his room, a young Harry wrote letters to Bess Wallace,
a young lady he befriended in school in Independence, MO.
Did Bess ever dream they would someday be
President and First Lady?

Harry Truman is one of my favorite presidents. I like his no nonsense way of dealing with issues. I would love to tour some of these historic buildings!!
Those tress are beautiful! I just love the beauty of this season. Little by little things are waking up here....little is a key word. :)

What a treasure that old house is! I love it!
Thanks for always visit me, too, Karen. I don't have a direct email from my blog to you anymore. xo Diana
They are gorgeous! And the pretty color of the fence makes them even prettier! Does the house open for tours?
Beautiful, and Truman I think was a good man. He was the only president I have ever seen in person. My grandfather took me to see him.
Truman was President when I was a small child. I remember when Eisenhower was elected. I think Carter and Nixon are the only ones I have seen in person.
Oh my, such beautiful trees! Absolutely stunning.
