Treasure Hunt

My son, if you take my words to heart 

and treasure my commands within you,

 if you pay close attention to wisdom, 

and let your mind reach for understanding,

 if indeed you call out for insight, 

if you ask aloud for understanding, 

if you search for wisdom as if it were money

 and hunt for it as if it were hidden treasure, 

then you will understand the fear of the Lord 

and you will find the knowledge of God.

The Lord gives wisdom.

 From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

God Has Not Changed His Mind or His Word

This morning, I was reading Psalm 119:

Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. vs 89

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. vs 105

I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure. vs 162

I was thrilled to see the March for Life today in Washington D.C. I am praying for America and our leaders to seek God for wisdom from His holy word.

Shadow of Your Wings

On my bed I remember You;
I think of You through the watches of the night.

The Comfort of a Friend

Charlie Brown was pitching in the neighborhood softball game, and pitching poorly. Lucy was giving him a lot of grief. As the criticism continued, Charlie Brown could bear it no longer. In frustration, he stood on his head in humiliation right there on the pitcher's mound.

Seeing his friend's pain, loyal Snoopy walked out and stood on his head beside Charlie Brown.

Don't you hate it when you are really hurting and someone tells you to just put a smile on your face?
