Tell Me the Stories

Kaedyn is learning to read so quickly in first grade. She was reading the story of Noah and the ark and together, we colored this poster for her bedroom wall.
I was thankful for the stories of God's miracles recorded in His Word this morning as I read in Psalms 102:18,
This will be written for the generation to come, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.

Tell me the story of Jesus
Write on my heart every word.
Tell me the story most precious,
Sweetest that ever was heard.

Seek His Face

“May God in his mercy lead us through these times;

but above all, may he lead us to himself.”

Future Teacher!

Granddaughter Kaedyn visited me on Saturday and brought her birthday present - a portable teacher kit. She had studied the US map and showed me with her pointer all the states her Uncle Cameron had driven through on his move from Kansas City to Newark NJ. I think she will make a great school teacher one day!

Rose Garden

I was remembering my visit three summers ago to the Smith Rose Garden in Kansas City.  I was struck with the thought that the perfumed air and vivid colors were just a taste of heaven.
Mother loved to hear George Jones sing.
How beautiful heaven must be.
Sweet home of the happy and free
Fair haven of rest for the weary
How beautiful Heaven must be

Pure waters of life there are flowing
And all who drink may be free
Rare jewels of splendor are glowing
How beautiful Heaven must be

Touch of Autumn in the Air

60 degrees when I went for my morning walk today.
We are seeing migrating ducks and geese stopping to rest on the grassy area and pond here.
