Bird Watching

I check on an elderly relative who can no longer drive. He loves to sit at the table by the bay window and watch the birds. Seems like a gift from God that a dove has built her nest near the window pane, and her eggs are hatching. It will give him so much joy to watch them growing from day to day.

I was reminded of Emily Dickinson's poem.

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again.
I shall not live in vain.

Come On, People!

Trust in Him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to Him,
for God is our refuge.
Psalm 62:8
We had a pastor who was in the habit of getting our attention by saying,
"Come on, people!"
Once when he was in the slow line at Walmart, his toddler took charge of the situation suddenly shouting at the lady in front of them,
"Come ON, People!!!"
Maybe that's how David felt when he was urging Israel:
Hey! Think about it -
Jehovah God is our refuge;
You can trust Him!

Thinking About God's Great Love

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
nor have entered into the heart of man
the things which God has prepared
for those who love Him.
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit,
for the Spirit searches all things,
yes, the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10

SPRING!

A little chilly, but sunny enough to go for a walk and pick a big bouquet of daffodils on this beautiful first day of spring.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let Your glory be over all they earth.
Psalm 108:5
