Last Text Message From Teenage Girl

The 17 year old girl who was killed in a church bus crash in Atlanta this week texted this message to her cousin before her death:
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
And this is the word that was preached to you.
1 Peter 1:23-25
"This is such a great reminder. We are like a wisp of smoke. We are only here for a moment and this not about us, life is not about us, it's about God who is eternal. So, I want to dedicate the one moment I am here, completely and entirely to Him" -Sara Harmening

Karen, Tragic to lose young lives. The young girl was in the Lord's arms as she took her last breath, because the Lord was in her heart first. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

Praise the Lord, she knew Him when the accident happened, and is now in Heaven with Him. We should all take a lesson. Have a nice Saturday.

Yes, we saw this on the news...so very sad for her family. Sometimes thee are just no answers as to why things like this happen...only God knows...and He is already getting glory even though this, a horrific accident. What a legacy this young girl left for those left behind!

This is so touching and precious to my heart for this young girl to text this message. I recently heard of a young man traveling, leaving a message of love on his girl friends phone proclaiming his adoration of her, and I will see you soon. He was killed a few minutes later in a auto accident. Thank you for leaving the verse from Isaiah on my blog. It is excellent and one I had not discovered. "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'" Isaiah 46:10

Such a sad event, but it is a comfort to know where her heart was at the time of the accident.

What a beautiful message she left behind. I pray that others who read it will take it to heart and realize that life is uncertain and they need to be sure of their eternal destiny.
