God Provides

Remember the former things of old,for I am God, and there is no other.  I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand,  and I will do all My good pleasure,”
Isaiah 46:9-10

As I was reading in Genesis 22 this morning, I was amazed again at Abraham's words to his son Isaac:

"God will provide for Himself the Lamb."

About a thousand years later Mount Moriah would be the site for the temple that Solomon built, and about a thousand years after that it was the place where the Lord Jesus Christ would be crucified, becoming God's provision to cleanse us from sin, and clothe us with His righteousness.

Abraham called the name of that place The Lord Will Provide, as it is said to this day, “In the mount of the Lord it will be provided.” Gen. 22:14

I just read another blog where she talked about the "place" God will provide for us. So true--we get so caught up in our 'earthly' places that we sometimes forget that this is temporary. xo Diana

Abraham and Isaac's story is one of my favorites. The power of God, the LOVE of God is so strong.
Thank you for sharing,
