A God of Faithfulness

When I get overwhelmed with the evening news, the Lord reminds me: A powerful thing I can do is to sing His Word back to Him.
Jehoshaphat...appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:
"PRAISE THE LORD, FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER"
2 Chronicles 20:21

For I proclaim the name of the Lord;
Ascribe greatness to our God!
The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright is He.

 Deuteronomy 32:3-4

I am trying not to watch the news, but it doesn't work well because my husband does.

Thank you for sharing this. It seems most of us are weary of the news coverage of our President. Joining you in praying for our Country and President.

His Mercy endures forever, His Word constantly reminds us. We serve an awesome God. All praise and glory is His.

I think we are all at that point with the news these days...that's why I spend so much time in the garden, and here with my friends! But I love the idea of the soldiers singing through the battles...or before...and singing to the glory of God. We need to remember to continue to give Him glory no matter what is going on. God is in control...and we are blessed. Thank you for this positive message today.

This is a good reminder...we keep saying that God is in control and trying to look at things like that. I do grow weary of the news, though. I want to see enough to know what is going on, but then it is all the same thing over and over after so long.

Ahhh, Karen, thank you for sharing the reminder the Lord spoke to you for when the news becomes overwhelming. Praise certainly does lighten our spirits and keeps the One who loves us so much front and center!

I agree Karen. Life can be overwhelming. I have become so discouraged with he news and how it is slanted that I do not even watch it. We need to remember God is in control.
