Wind and Waves

Even the wind and the waves obey Him!
Mark 4:41

This pond adjoins the property where I live. I saw so many flocks of birds today even with the very strong wind we had. I cannot imagine being out on the sea in wind and high waves. It reminded me of the story of Jesus calming the sea.

Beautiful pictures. We had extreme wind today, too. We even lost power for a couple of hours. You certainly are surrounded by beautiful views.

Karen, to look out and see the pond like this near your property is surely something special. I was just thinking about the birds having to make their way in this cold wintery weather. They are amazing.

How wonderful to have a pond nearby. I love looking at the water...and the birds as well. I noticed many flocks of birds flying over today...Robins!!! They are headed south of here for the winter. It was windy...that storm moving through. Hope you are safe and warm!

I love your pictures!
You are blessed to have such beauty to look at through your window.
We have little chickadees here in the winter and I often think how hard it must be for them, but they sing and seem to enjoy the cold. We also have quite a few stellar blue jays and I enjoy them every morning when I feed them. They are very generous birds with others.
You have shared a great verse with your thoughts.

Karen, Storms at sea would be scarier than on land I would think. We need Jesus to calm the storms in our hearts at times. :) Glad you can see nature where you live. Blessings to you for a beautiful new year. xoxo, Susie

How nice that you live by a pond and can enjoy the wildlife that visits. We had some high winds today but it's calmed down tonight.

It was windy here today...but then it seems like the wind always blows here. Just sometimes harder than others.

Pretty pictures. The winds can blow very strong here sometimes. It's good to be reminded of who is stronger than the winds that buffet us.
