The Gift of Loving Words

Mother, 1992
Each of us has a special way that we like for people to express their love to us.  For me, it is words of endearment.

A sweet childhood memory I have of Mother was that she would wake me up in the morning saying, "Come on, Sugar! I've got your breakfast ready."

Through the years, when I was going through difficulties, I could always call Mother, day or night. She prayed for me, and before she hung up, she would say, "Love you, Sugar."

Lord, my prayer to You today is: Thank You that You are Love. Any time, day or night, I can open the Bible and find love notes from You tucked inside.

Long, long ago God decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.
Ephesians 1:3-6

What a beautiful lady, both in her heart and on the outside.
Her words were endearing and they will stay with you forever. Precious.

What a tender, precious memory of your mother. I love this. Our mothers will always hold a special place in our hearts, especially when we've been so blessed and privileged to have had a godly, loving mother. I so miss being able to call my mother on the phone and visit. Saturday morning was always our time to "visit" this way when I was living far away with my family. Every Saturday morning Mom would call me and we would laugh and visit and enjoy those tender moments as Mother and Daughter. Thank you for reminding me of this precious memory in my life as well. You are blessed. I am blessed. Thank the Lord for His goodness to us!!

A smile was brought to my face reading of the precious memories of your mother. How beautiful she is, and what a beautiful and loving heart it sounds like she had to match ♥
This post was such a blessing, a sweet reminder to me of the Lord's similar notes of love found within His word. It is so amazing to think of the scriptures that way- not just as doctrine or verses, but as personal notes from God to us in sharing His ways and His love for us.

Wishing every blessing and joy of the season upon you!
