Shine On

While out for an evening walk last night, my neighbors and I had a great view of the yellow harvest moon. Mother and Daddy used to listen to Rosemary Clooney sing, Shine on Harvest Moon.

You just made me cry! My parents used to sing that song to each other in harmony all the time...it was so special. They met during a harvest moon time, and I guess they must have sung that to each other way back then, and so it became a special song for them. They are both in heaven now, enjoying the marvelous Light of Heaven forever! Thank you for this happy memory.

I was able to take Trudy outside and see her by the light of the silvery moon! So lovely to not have to turn on the backyard lights that draw bugs. I remember Rosemary Clooney and that song. As we waited outside last night, I was remembering Allegheny Moon by Patti Page.

It is a beautiful sight. We had rainclouds covering up the whole sky.

It turned very cloudy here and we could not see the moon. I remember that old song, though.

We had a lovely harvest moon last night as well. I tried to take a photo. Without a tripod, night images are blurry. Wonderful memories of "Shine on Harvest Moon". Always liked that song because it was easy to sing harmony to. Have a great weekend.

Oh, what a pretty yellow harvest moon. I just took pics of the moon at night, but it was a big ball of white. So strange to see a harvest moon, but so pretty.
