4th of July Celebration

Our church celebrated Independence Day yesterday and honored the veterans. A 90 year old veteran of WWII spoke briefly of boys trying to join up while still in high school because they loved America and wanted to defend our freedom. He reminded me of my Dad who fought in France and Germany.

They have been putting the flags out for many years. My son who had Down syndrome really enjoyed seeing the flags blowing in the wind.

The flags along the drive are beautiful. I can imagine that Caleb enjoyed them. I bet K enjoyed seeing them too.
