Beautiful Weather for a Walk

View from my afternoon walk along the Ohio River

This is the Bible passage the grandchildren are learning this week.

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10 NIV

I have been enjoying a daily devotional book by Corrie ten Boom. She wrote:
"Nobody can take away from you those texts from the Bible
which you have learned by heart."

I am back from vacay and getting back into the habit of walking. It requires discipline but the weather is so nice right now that it is a good way to spend a portion of the day.

My Sunday school boys are memorizing these very verses. Out sun is shining but the wind and cold makes it too cold. Your walk area looks grand.

Wonderful that the grandchildren are learning Bible passages. Corrie ten Boom is right, nothing can take them away. Every now and then a scripture that I memorized as a child pops into my mind just when it is needed. What beautiful views!
