Heavenly Storehouse

Just as in Noah's day, we see evil around us. God assured Noah that judgment was coming.  Noah was a "watchman on the wall" and tried to warn his neighbors, but he was laughed to scorn. Yet, because of Noah's obedience, there was a place of safety provided - the ark.

The Lord is telling us in these days to store up treasure in heaven for a "rainy day". There is a season of judgment coming for nations that no longer follow God's laws or honor His Name.

Safety and rest can be found in the place of prayer and in living out Jesus' "sermon on the mount". God is offering grace and mercy even now.

There is wisdom in preparing for tough times by stocking food, having cash on hand, and emergency plans in place. But the safest place is not on this earth.  It is the heavenly storehouse of intimate secret communication with Father God.

For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10 Amplified

The secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.
Psalm 25:14 Amplified

Christian Author, Victoria Boyson, wrote these words:
"The world is being blanketed by layers of fear that grow daily, and equally, so too our trust in God must increase. We will not succumb to the lies of the world we live in, for this is NOT our home. Our home is in Christ, we live in Him we are safe and secure in the arms of our Beloved. We will not relent we WILL trust our God He will NEVER forsake us. He will never forsake you."

"The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord's plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken," (Psalm 33:10-11).

Heaven will be provided to us through Christ's death and resurrection. It's hard to imagine such great love. Have a good weekend!

Great post and truth. The Scriptures and the quote are especially encouraging.
