God's Word

A woman I know hands out Gospel tracts to people everywhere she goes, and leaves them in public places, praying that people will come to know Jesus as Savior.

Some have tried to discourage her, saying, "Nobody will read a tract. You are wasting your time and money!"

On Christmas Eve, she was in a mall, and felt inspired to tuck tracts into the pockets of men's jeans.
Her children told her, "Mom, the store security was probably watching you on surveillance cameras!"

After Christmas, she decided to call up a coworker she hadn't seen since they both retired.

"How was your Christmas?" she asked.

"The best Christmas of my life!" her friend exclaimed. "You remember my son that I've prayed for all these years? You won't believe this, but he was at the mall on Christmas Eve trying on jeans, when he found a gospel tract in the pocket. As he read it he was so touched by God's mercy and love that he sat down right there in the dressing room and surrendered his life to the Lord!"

How encouraging that God let this woman know about the fruit of her labor!

Not too long ago, I shared the Four Spiritual Laws with a young man with a master's degree.
"Oh wow!" he said. "So that's John 3:16. I would see people holding up a banner that said John 3:16 at ball games, but I never knew what that was!"

He accepted Jesus as Savior!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
John 3:16-18

Hi Karen! Wow, what great testimony to the fact that we just never know what God will do with our actions. If I will just step out in faith, he'll do the rest!
How happy you must have been to talk to that young man, and what wonderful insight God gave you and him.

I am back from blog break so it's great to reconnect here! I am at a new place, I had some tech problems at my last blog. Erg. I am learning a lot, and I hope to be comfortable with it all soon.
Blessings to you!

Praise God for HIM letting this woman know the fruits of her labor. We often don't hear of those. However, HE is faithful to encourage us.

It doesn't take much to make a BIG difference! How we must guard against pessimism and those who would discourage us from sharing the little we have.

Praising GOD for His healing touch on Kaedyn's ears! Blessings to you and yours. ((HUGS)) ~ Jess
