In Old Age

Those who are planted in the house of the LORD
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
To declare that the LORD is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
Psalm 92:13-15

Grandpa lived across the street from the funeral home. If he saw cars in the parking lot, he would call to see who had passed away in town, and he often walked across the street to pay his respects, even if he hardly knew the family.

One day, I escorted him across Georgia's busy Highway 9. At the time, he was over 90 years old. He glanced around at those gathered in the parlor with a frown, and observed, "You know, the old folks just don't visit the funeral home like they used to!"

The Lord promises us a full life even into old age so that we can declare that He is good and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

I wanted to say "Amen!" to the Scripture you shared. But there was something with the background music that sent shiver to my spine. Feeling His presence and His wonderful promises are true! So, I want to say "Hallelujah to You Oh Lord!" So beautiful that He will take care of us as we age. Have a great weekend sister and God bless.
