Without Fault in His Eyes

Even before he made the world,
God loved us and chose us in Christ
to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
God decided in advance to adopt us
into his own family by bringing us to himself
through Jesus Christ.
This is what he wanted to do,
and it gave him great pleasure.
Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT

When my son Cameron was four, he set off to church preschool with a box of brand new crayons. The very first day, the little guy who sat next to him borrowed his red crayon and pressed down so hard that it broke in two! Cameron came home really upset about that.

Later, we met our new neighbor, who happened to be the grandmother of the "offender". She greeted Cameron with a smile and said, "You will have to come over and play with my grandson."

"Oh, NO!" Cameron bluntly replied. "He is a bad little boy!"

Apparently, this grandmother saw her grandchild through eyes of love, not as a former "crayon-breaker"!

I am thankful that God has forgiven me, and sees me as holy, set apart as His very own, and "without fault" because of Jesus' sacrificial love.

It's nice to be reminded that God is a forgiving God and will pull us out of our
own personal quicksand.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh, Poor Cameron. It is hard to forgive those little "errors" when we are kids, isn't it? We are so blessed to have a forgiving God in our lives- xo Diana
