I Fought the Law and the Law Won

I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ.

My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Galatians 2:19-20 Message

"I knew why mankind needed the Blood of Christ, and no amount of personal attainment in and of itself could ever make me like Jesus. In the most profound way I understood that only Christ could live like Christ. God's plan was not to improve me but to remove me so that the Lord Jesus Himself could actually live His life through me (Galatians 2:20). In His indwelling would rest my hope of becoming like Him. - Francis Frangipane The Days of His Presence

Hi Karen,
Ego and pride must not be central in our lives. It is a battle I believe we must all face. May we all live by faith in the Son of God.

BTW, I wanted to let you know that I wrote on the subject you mentioned a couple weeks back. That is when Jesus said: “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” It is up on my blog now.

God bless,
Ken

I'm learning that MY way isn't always the BEST way--and more importantly, not GOD'S.
