Overwhelming Peace

God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.
I'm an open book to you;
even from a distance,
you know what I'm thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
I'm never out of your sight.
You know everything I'm going to say
before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you're there,
then up ahead and you're there, too—
your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful—
I can't take it all in!

Hi Karen,

Gosh, I thought I'd "lost" you when I couldn't locate your blog. I followed Mildred's link here. So glad to see you're still blogging.

All the best, Lana

This has always been a close companion of mine, this Psalm

Karen, the headline of your post, made my smile. Two days ago, Mom and I were talking about our investments (mine are to take way of my daughter when I cannot). We both agreed that even though the values have declined, we are both sleeping at night. Wouldn't you know, that night I could not get to sleep. I was able to complete my entire prayer list and continued in further Bible study.
I will print your verse and read it when I have a repeat experience.

It's funny. I had posted a different blog on this day, but I felt that the Lord wanted me to delete it and share this Psalm instead. So many people told me they couldn't sleep that night and how these words of God ministered to them as they did to me. Karen
