Government

There is a lot of talk in the news about government shut-down, government protests, big government, and one world government. It is comforting to know that God revealed to the prophet Isaiah 2,800 years ago Who is in charge of government.

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7

It's reassuring to know who is really in charge, isn't it. :-) Hope you have a lovely and peaceful Sunday tomorrow, Karen.

I kept reminding myself of God being in control as we waited this week to find out if my husband would be going to work next week or not. I'm thankful for God being with us.

All I can say to that is - Amen!

Praise Him, Yes! Not only is He all of these things but He loves us so much that He found it important to tell us these things in advance, that we would not be ignorant or fearful. Yes Praise His Holy Name!

Blessings, Debbie

Great and Mighty is HE! The LORD of Lords and KING of Kings! How blessed we are to know the ONE who controls ALL things.
"Even so, come LORD JESUS!"

Such encouraging words in the light to today's government.

We would have much to fear if not for the assurance that God is in control and we know who wins in the end.

The bible is perfect. It is predicting things we see daily in our lives.
